Hiring

Be a Technical SEO Specialist at Full Measure

What we’re looking for

Strong communication and empathy are vital

We are looking for a technician who can dive under the hood of Google’s algorithms, diagnose issues, identify opportunities and formulate strategies to streamline performance.

While your technical SEO skills will shine, you will also be well-spoken and comfortable translating SEO-speak into layman’s terms over Zoom or face-to-face.

You are unafraid to take informed risks

You need to be able to see the whole picture and the little details, moving between best practice SEO and big thinking.

You’re excited to help our non-technical clients get on board with your recommendations through clear-cut communication and actionable recommendations and strategies.

People skills and business acumen open the door to impact

You will need to be able to persuade clients and colleagues to prioritise your recommendations. We are looking for someone who can write, speak and prepare data visualisations.

We don’t expect you to be a master of SEO

But we hope you’ll reflect our commitment of lifelong learning, finding new ways to solve old problems, with or without the help of digital tools.

Remote work can be tricky, but you’re always ready to take your clients on a journey through SEO metrics, exploring how they impact the business holistically and specifically.

What experience do you need

If you’ve only worked in the industry for a short period, and you’ve achieved some amazing things - don’t hold back your application.

Your background will include experience in researching, communicating, deploying and measuring SEO initiatives.

You can tell us about the relationships you’ve built and nurtured with clients or internal team members that have directly contributed to business, campaign or project goals.

We don’t focus on years in the biz, but the results and potential each person brings to the table.

What you’ll be doing

Be a helpful, subject matter expert

You will be an integral part of the close-knit SEO team and seen as the helpful, subject matter expert by providing SEO knowledge and strategic guidance to a wide range of clients - everything from airlines and department stores, to owner-operated businesses.

You will start by unpacking a client’s marketing problems and learning about their customers through keyword, competitor and audience research, utilising a suite of tools you’re already familiar with, including Screaming Frog SEO Spider, ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics, Google Data Studio just to name a few.

Then you’ll be deep-diving into the client’s website, identifying current SEO problems and opportunities. From your insights, you will be strategising with your Content and Link Building team members to create an actionable, effective SEO plan.

You will attempt to reverse engineer a competitor’s SEO strategy so the client can understand what their competitors are doing right, doing wrong and identify opportunity gaps.

Help get the SEO vision executed

Coming up with solutions is only half of the job. Helping your clients execute your SEO vision is just as important. You will be explaining your SEO recommendations to an audience with mixed SEO experience using a variety of formats, such as:

  • creating and responding to JIRA tickets with developers

  • translating issues for a non-technical audience in a technical audit

  • preparing and presenting a SEO 101 training session

You will be building and maintaining dashboards and reports across a range of SEO metrics that match up with client goals. You will monitor and analyse the numbers and report back to your team on any insights or anomalies found and what your recommended next steps are.

Build and maintain genuine relationships

While you are not leading the accounts (yet), you are expected to build and maintain genuine relationships with the people you deal with. You will help clients with any questions or concerns as they arise.
